Anti-wrinkle face oil - which one to choose and how to apply it correctly

One of the most valuable components of oils for the skin is lipids (fats). They glue the horny cells (scales) together, creating a protective barrier that retains moisture. Also protects against the penetration of harmful microorganisms.

Applying it to the cover in its pure form, it seems to us that by doing so we strengthen this protective barrier, and the skin is saturated with moisture.

But the problem is that no vegetable oil contains a lipid ratio suitable for our dermis. When applied to the face, we immediately feel hydration and comfort due to the fact that it smoothes horny scales and softens. It also creates a film that retains moisture on the surface.

Destruction of the lipid barrier of the skin

If we continue to apply it regularly, it will begin to penetrate deeper into the skin layer and erode our own lipids. Their ratio will begin to change, which will lead to the destruction of the lipid barrier. The skin will become even drier and flakier.

Therefore, in order to strengthen the lipid layer, it will be much more useful to consume fats inside.

But there is good news as well. Thanks to their moisturizing and emollient properties, vegetable fats are great for treating wrinkles if you do it wisely.

Anti-wrinkle face oil

In combination with other components, they have a beneficial effect on the skin and smooth out fine wrinkles. Therefore, they are even recommended to be used in various mask recipes.

But to keep the skin from getting used, the recipes need to be constantly changed. But more on that below.

How to choose an anti-wrinkle face oil instead of a cream

For the reasons stated above, it is not recommended to use it in its pure form on a regular basis, therefore, it will not work to replace daily care with it instead of a cream, since it can cause severe harm.

From wrinkles, for the purpose of additional moisturizing and softening, it is used in its pure form only in case of emergency, a course for 1-2 weeks. This must be done observing the following rules:

  • face must be wet before application;
  • the number of drops according to your skin type: dry 3-4 drops, normal 2-3, oily 1-2;
  • after 15-20 minutes, blot the cover with a napkin, thus removing its excess;
  • after use, be sure to apply a moisturizer;
  • Apply oil to the eye area two hours before bed to avoid severe swelling.

An effective and safer way to use anti-wrinkle oil is to add a small amount of drops to various masks, the recipes for which are given below. In combination with other components within 20-30 minutes, such formulations will only benefit, provided that it is selected correctly (more on this later).

Anti-aging can be done 2-3 times a week. At the same time, so that the skin does not get used to it, it is recommended to change the composition of the masks once a month.

Which cosmetic oil is best for face massage

Many people use massage techniques to prevent and eliminate wrinkles. If you watch the training videos, then in many of them it is carried out using oils. Also, many cosmetologists use it for this purpose. Apply it abundantly to slide your hands.

Rejuvenating facial massage with cosmetic oil

What cosmetic oil is better to use in order to maximize the effect on the face?

If you carefully read the preface to this article, you have already concluded that even in a minimal amount (1-2 drops), regular use of it in its pure form can be harmful. And during the massage, it's not even a couple of drops, but a few ml, which you will thoroughly rub in for 20-30 minutes several times a week.

Consequences for oily - clogged pores, increased sebum secretion, acne, even if it is not comedogenic.

Consequences for dry - destruction of the lipid layer and, as a result, severe dryness and flaking.

The best fatty and essential oils for wrinkles

In the fight against wrinkles, both oily and essential oils are used. The features of their application will be discussed further.

Fatty

Each of them, depending on the composition, has its own comedogenicity - the ability to clog pores and cause inflammation, as well as cause swelling.

In total, three groups are distinguished - non-comedogenic (1), low-comedogenic (2), and highly-comedogenic (3). It is for this indicator that it is selected for your skin type. So, for the fatty type, the third group is contraindicated.

Fixed oils

Below is a list of fatty oils with an indication of the comedogenic group (in brackets) that are suitable for working with wrinkles:

Liquid:

  • Sea buckthorn (1).
  • Peach (2).
  • Rosehip (1).
  • Almond (2).
  • Argan (1).
  • Grape seed (2).
  • Wheat germ (3).
  • Sesame (2).
  • Olive (2).

Solid (butters):

  • Shi - karite (1).
  • Coconut (3).

The following group is suitable for wrinkles around the eyes:

Liquid:

  • Grape seed (2).
  • Avocado (2).
  • Rosehip (1).
  • Almond (2).
  • Hazelnut or walnut (2).
  • Jojoba (2).

Solid (butters):

  • Coconut (3).
  • Cocoa (3).

It is also important to consider the method by which the oil is made. The most useful is cold pressing, which retains the maximum amount of nutrients.

But unnatural (mineral, petroleum jelly) is better not to use at all. They are highly depleted of petrochemicals and can block the normal functioning of the sebaceous glands, contributing to the development of acne.

Therefore, also pay attention to this factor and use only cold pressing.

How to use highly comedogenic?

It can be diluted with low comedogenic (group 1) in a 1: 1 ratio. All fatty ones go very well with each other and you can dilute any of them.

Essential

As you know, essential oils enhance the beneficial properties of fatty ones and it is also not recommended to use them in their pure form. Therefore, they are used in mixtures with basic (fatty) ones.

Let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then blot with a tissue to remove any residue. Be sure to apply moisturizer.

But remember that you need to use this method only in emergency cases for a course of 1-2 weeks.

Compresses under the eyes

Warm some oil until warm by dipping the bottle in warm water. Then wet two cotton pads and apply to the under-eye area. Soak for 15 minutes, then blot with a napkin.
